Recognition at the Johnstone’s Painter of the Year Competition represents the ultimate accolade in the profession for any decorating company. The competition culminated in an awards ceremony at the luxurious De Vere Carden Park Hotel, near Chester. The work of 15 finalists was showcased during the evening’s presentation. Each finalist was carefully selected following visits from technical representitives of the national judging panel. The criteria for entry was that either Johnstone’s or Leyland paints were used on the project, that it had been completed in 2009 and that it was a job they were proud of.
